We're excited to support the upcoming CTB365's Protect Duty Webinar this coming Thursday 18th November.
A must in the calendar of security professionals, it may seem strange that BlueKit, a medical supplier, are going to be there in full support, but it's vitally important that we are!
Protect Duty will ask organisations to do more to protect people in public spaces.
The resulting outcomes of the Manchester Arena inquiry will encourage those organisations maintaining and managing events in public spaces to consider their level of preparation for a critical incident. Martyn's Law in particular, the result of the tireless and heartwarming campaigning of Figen Murray, whose son, Martyn Hett, tragically died in the devastating Manchester Arena bombing, will insist that a series of safety protocols be put in place in venues and public spaces nationwide.
We're doing our bit by teaming up with SALVAS to offer a package of Bleed Control Kits & a complementary #ZeroResponder Bleed Control Workshop to train individuals in the use of our kits and in bleed control more generally.
Our Bleed Control Kits contain essential equipment to stop life-threatening bleeding. This includes items such as tourniquets, gauze for packing wounds, emergency trauma bandages, and scissors to remove clothing to access injuries.
In addition, we offer vital training for members of the public to become confident and skilled in controlling massive blood loss in an emergency in the critical moments before professional services are safely able to arrive on scene.
First aid provision for bleed control should be as common as basic first aid training and we want to train as many members of the public as possible, helping to prevent the unnecessary loss of life.
#CTB365's #ProtectDuty Webinar is #cpdaccredited by the Security Institute and offers the opportunity to earn DOUBLE CPD points for attending! You can register for the event here: https://lnkd.in/d4yQNuq.
To add to the excitement, we're offering attendees the chance to win a free Bleed Control Kit!
You can also find out more about what's in the kit, what it looks like and how to use it at www.bleedcontrolkit.co.uk.
